Something started brewing in my mind when I saw this week's lunch sack full of cherry tomatoes. At first I was thinking along the lines of pizza, especially a cold pizza that a college friend's Italian mom would always have on the ready (it involved putting cream cheese on baked pizza crust and covering it with fresh tomatoes, broccoli, olives and such, yum).
And then, because of a touch of coolness in the breeze now, I realized that I was imagining FOCACCIA! I've eaten it, but never made it, so I'm going to try this tomato and basil focaccia recipe from home bakers, Ed and Marieke, published on their site Weekend Bakery. They have a number of delicious looking savory baked goods to choose from, too, like this flatbread.
